Description

Situated on a hill on the outskirts of Burseryd, the charming local heritage park is home to Vickelsbostugan, its main attraction. The cottage is a well-preserved loft house of the South Götaland style, originally from the village of Vickelsbo. Parts of the building are believed to date back to the 17th century. Here, visitors can experience an authentic historical environment and gain an insight into what life in the area was like several hundred years ago.

Inside the cottage is an extensive collection of around 400 objects, including decorative folk paintings, antique furniture, household utensils, and other items dating primarily from the 18th century. The collections tell the story of everyday life, craftsmanship, and traditions from a bygone era.

Burseryd Heritage Park is a peaceful destination for both history enthusiasts and curious visitors. Stroll through the historic surroundings, enjoy the beautiful landscape, and discover an important part of the area's cultural heritage.

During the summer, the park comes alive with various activities, and on selected days freshly baked waffles are served – a popular tradition enjoyed by both visitors and returning locals. Take the opportunity to combine your cultural experience with a relaxing coffee break in the scenic surroundings.
